Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Trinity! I'm an 18-month old standard-sized American Eskimo female. I weigh 32 pounds and have a very thick and beautiful coat. I came from a shelter in southern Tennessee, so I'm a true southern belle, with an adorable face that smiles at you all the time! I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm housebroken and crate-trained, though I don't need to be crated, because I have such great house manners! :o) I enjoy riding in the car, and I don't even mind being bathed and groomed. I don't mind cats or other dogs, I LOVE people, and I'm really great with kids! I'm usually very quiet, but like your typical Eskie, I will sound the alarm when someone comes to the door, just so you won't be taken by surprise. I love my treats, including chicken breast, but especially salami! HeHe! I have to own up to one fault, however (no one's perfect, you know!): I especially like baby diapers, so you have to make sure all trash is out of my reach. I'm very sweet and extremely friendly, but I'm a little afraid of loud noises or raised voices. I'm looking for a forever family with lots of activity, because I just LOVE to be in the thick of things! I have a very loving personality, and I promise that if you adopt me, I will give you every ounce of love in my body! Wouldn't you like to have me in your home so I can show you how sweet I really am? If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me. There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Knoxville, TN with my foster mommy, Krissy. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Trinity!
