Update: Lilly is learning how to walk on a leash and has much more confidence. She loves to play and is a super sweet eskie girl. She is still a little shy with new people. An experienced eskie owner would be a great match for our little Lilly. Hi everyone - I am Lilly! I arrived from a shelter in Mississippi just yesterday (7/19) and I was very frightened and shy. But today I am feeling much more confident and so happy to be alive. I was living in the shelter since March and gave birth to puppies in June. The shelter reached out to ERU for rescue and thankfully ERU was able to take me in. I am a beautiful sweet girl and my foster mommy says I am a real gem. I don't know how to walk on a leash but my foster mommy is sure I'll pick it up in time as I am a smart little girl. Whoever had me before didn't keep me on heartwrom preventative so now I am heartworm positive. I have started on the gentle heartworm treatment which you can read about if you click on the Gentle Heartworm Treatment link in the menu to the left under Info & Help. If you are interested in meeting me please e-mail my foster mommy Heidi at Heidi@eskierescuers.org More about Lilly of MDGood with Dogs Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Other Pictures of Lilly of MD (click to see larger version):
