Hi, I'm Buddy and I am considered a miniature sized American Eskimo. I'm 18 lbs and about 6-7 yrs old but act about 2-3 yes old. I get along with other dogs, cats, and totally housebroken. No young kids please as I can be a bit too bossy. But I'm in classes for that now. Which reminds me, I need a family who can take me to obedience classes and work on my manners. My foster parent says I'm great at sitting on command and walk nicely on the leash. I love to please but not sure what to do. If you take classes with me, we'll both learn together the boundaries I need so I won't get bossy again. I am VERY loyal to my human and stand-offish with strangers. I am crate trained and use a doggy door too!
***I am being fostered in San Diego, CA ***. He can be easily transported to Oregon or Washington for interested families who meet his needs. If you're interested in him and would like more information, please contact Angel Merritt: angel@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Submitting our adoption application will not obligate you but allows us enough information about your pet history and lifestyle to see if you have what Buddy needs in a human family. Thank you!

Good with Dogs
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
