Hi there!  My name is Sunny and it's a name that describes my sunny disposition!  I'm such a happy girl!  I'm a young girl that would love nothing more than to climb up next to you and have you scratch my belly and give me lots of love!  I'll give you lots of love back too...I love to give Eskie kisses!!

I'm totally up-to-date on my vaccinations and am housebroken too.  I even know how to use the doggie door, so if you have one of those for me, I'll let myself in and out of the house!  I am really looking for a family with no other dogs as I feel sort of jealous when I'm not getting all the attention!  I am currently being fostered with a couple of other dogs and we don't always get along very well.  So my foster family thinks I'd do best by myself, or maybe with just a cat...I don't mind them so much.

My foster family isn't quite sure what happened to me before I came to ERU, but I really don't like being picked up.  Sometimes I will yelp if someone tries to pick me up, but the vet said nothing is wrong with me, so my foster family thinks it was something that must have happend before coming to ERU.  I also don't like my nails being cut...it makes me so nervous!   One other thing, I have a partially collapsed esophagus so when I pant, I make more noise than other dogs...and I need to have a harness to go on walks instead of a regular collar.  But the vet said there's nothing else that needs to be done and I'm totally good to go.  So you don't have to worry about me!

What you should know is that I LOVE attention!!  If you come in the room, I'll get so excited and want you to pet me!  I'm a great little girl and would love to find my forever home soon!  If you'd consider me to be a part of your family, you won't regret it!  If you would like more information, please contact Chris at cat7wmn@msn.com.

Is Not Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
