My foster mom calls me "The Biebs" - she says I am cute and kind of jerky like my namesake......huh?? I think I am a good natured, sweet and affectionate little Eskie mix. Mixed with what, you ask? - I have no idea - but the end result is pretty adorable. Guesses on my mixed ancestry include Corgi, Pom and Chihuahua. I am about 6 years old and weigh an apartment-friendly 18.5#.
Here's what my foster mommy has to say about me:
"Biebs is easygoing, low maintenance, and wants to know where you are at all times. He is very much a companion dog. He loves having his head scratched and his belly rubbed. As soon as you stop, he nudges your hand. If you still don't get the hint, he will just look up at you, yawn and start in with his talking.
He will stay off of the furniture but I have been letting him up on the couch to lay beside me. He doesn't bother you, just sprawls out and naps. He also really likes his doggie bed. That's where I'll find him if he's not with me.
His behavior has been stellar! He lets me snuggle and he likes to give and receive kisses. Overall, he is very calm but he will have sudden bursts of energy when you play with him. He loves taking his stuffie and tossing it in the air.
He's great with people and kids. However, he really doesn't want to share his home or owner, and needs to be the only dog in his forever home.
He potties outside, has had no accidents in the house, and does great for 8+ hours a day. He is also fine being in a crate.
Quirks that are cute would have to be his tail chasing. I don't know if he sees it or feels it hitting his back but he just starts spinning around trying to get that thing!
He also loves to talk when he wants your attention.
He's not really a barker. He will bark/talk/whine for a short time when he hears noises outside but for the most part, he's pretty quiet. He knows sit and come. He sits by the front door when we come back in from our walks to let me take off his leash."
Bieber is a sturdy and strong little boy, for only 19#. He needs an owner that can control a leash on walks, or a fenced in backyard.
Bieber is being fostered for Eskie Rescuers in Fort Myers, FL. If you are interested in adopting The Biebs, please complete an adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org. If you have any questions, please email dyan@eskierescuers.org.

Is Not Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
