UPDATE Oct. 27, 2008: I'm in a nice foster home now with my new foster mommy, two Eskie brothers, an Eskie sister, & lots of kitties. I was very scared at first but now I am relaxing & get along well with everyone, including the kitties. My foster mommy is feeding me well & giving me good supplements because I am very, very skinny. I will soon be ready for my new furever home.

Hello, my name is Kola. I've had a tough time the last few months as my family left me at a high-kill shelter because they could not afford to care for me. I got sick while at the shelter, but things are looking up now because I have been saved & am being nursed back to health. I hope you will find a place in your hearts for me because I am very sweet & will love you forever.

Rescue Notes: Kola was saved just in time. The vet estimates his age to be between 7 & 8 yrs. He currently needs a lot of TLC but he will soon be back on his feet & ready for his furever home. He is just a doll & we are just getting to know him. He seems to like big dogs as he met the vet's mastiff & was fine (see photo). As soon as Kola is back on his feet he will be available for adoption. Come by & meet Kola at the Petsmart in Tustin, CA every Saturday from noon to 4 pm. For sponsorship or adoption information please contact Debbie Eckert with Critters in Need Pet Rescue in Laguna Niguel, CA at 714 636-6510, or debra@crittersrescue.com. Only applications for adoption from CA will be considered. Thank you. :-))

More about Kola

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Special Needs: 12/29/2008: Kola does have arthritis in his lower back & hind legs, so he will need to take glucosomine supplements, & may need pain meds on occasion. He tends to be stiff in the mornings, or if he has been laying down for a while. Otherwise he is very healthy.
